Job Description: Journeyman Electrician

The basic function of the Foreman is to coordinate internal and external resources on a project to achieve project profit objectives according to scope and specification.  The external resources are the owner, supplier, sub-contractor, architect, realtors, government agencies, and neighbors.  The internal resources are the company Project Manager (PM), the ARM Program, SSEP, and President.  The Construction Coordinator is an additional resource.  Develops and maintains the Safety Incentive Plan.  In charge of overall safety objectives of the corporation. 

Requirements:

  • Willingness to become OSHA Certified or a Medical Certification, e.g. Red Cross trained.
  • Preferred:  Five years’ experience in a progressive electrician career path
  • Three years in project supervision in the electrical or construction industry
  • Continuous education certifications as an electrician
  • Current on building codes, rules, regulations, and trends
  • Knows how to administer a safe work environment with experience in holding safety meetings

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all work pertaining to this position is completed within the time and materials scope of work by ClayDean Electric Contracting.
  • All safety precautions are being taken.
  • Must give appropriate attention to the quality of work.  Ensuring that all work is done to the highest-level workmanship.
  • Must follow the corporate safety policies and procedures.

Machinery:  ClayDean Electric Contracting expects its equipment owned or rented to be kept in exceptional condition by the crew of the equipment being used.  It is your responsibility to keep it clean and take care of other elements that may affect its future performance.  Any tools that need to be repaired should be tagged and turned in.
